This awesome cookbook comes from Shannon Martinez and Mo Wyce, of the famous Smith & Daughters plant-based restaurant in Melbourne, Australia. This is their first published vegan cookbook- and we really hope it’s the first of many to come. First off, this cookbook is beautiful. The photography makes it worthy of a place on the coffee table. It contains over 80 completely vegan recipes, most with a Spanish twist. This is not a health food book – it’s chock full of comfort food that will warm you up and fill your belly. They call it “good food that happens to be vegan.” Some of our favorites are the Corn & Jalapeño Pancakes, Horchata Rice Pudding, and the Brazilian Black Bean Soup.
This new cookbook is the creation of Laura Wright, the author of the award-winning vegan blog The First Mess. In addition to being a very creative recipe writer, Laura is also a talented food photographer, making this another recipe book that’s worthy of display in your home. She specializes in simple, seasonal, meatless recipes that highlight the best produce for every season of the year. The recipes lean on the healthy side, with lots of variety, but our favorite is the Earl Grey and Vanilla Bean Tiramisu. Can’t beat that for a vegan dessert!
The entire internet seems to have caught the Instant Pot craze, and the vegan community is no exception! If you’ve not tried one of these amazing devices, you are missing out on a whole new level of easy cooking. An Instant Pot is like a slow cooker on steroids. This new collection from Brandon Parker features plenty of time-saving, delicious, meatless recipes. The one-pot vegan recipes include everything from Curry with Pan-Fried Plantains, to Evergreen Risotto, to Chocolate Quinoa Soup. Plus, this cookbook is totally free on Kindle Unlimited
Vegan desserts can be tricky, but Clara Polito seems to have it all figured out. Clara started baking and selling her vegan cakes and desserts at age 12. As a teenager, she now runs her own successful company. Her new cookbook is super sweet – a fantastic collection of vegan dessert recipes mixed in with personal commentary and stories from Clara. The Ginger Blondies and Strawberry Blood Orange Bars are some of the highlights.
For the new vegans out there, this is a great cookbook to get you started. It provides some nice background on the science of vegan diets, the health benefits of going meatless, and basic vegan cooking tips. It even features an easy 7-day meal plan to get started. It includes over 100 completely vegan recipes – all of which are simple and approachable for those new to the lifestyle. And although these recipes are suitable for beginners, they are packed with flavor! Try everything from Vegan Tikka Masala to Butternut Squash and Cauliflower Tacos. And this is another cookbook that you can free with Kindle Unlimited!
