Stew of Grain

Stew of grain is usually served as a side dish, but it can also be prepared as a main course. In this meal we’ll use canned grain so there’s no need to cook it, only need to warm a little.

Stew of Grain


  • 100 g of canned pods
  • 100 g of canned lenses
  • 100 g of canned baby corn
  • 100 g of canned chickpeas
  • 100 g of canned beans
  • 100 g of canned peas
  • 1 red pepper
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • vegan butter
  • olive oil
  • salt, pepper and oregano


Pour a little of olive oil in a pan and add canned vegetable, red pepper chopped into cubes, finely chopped garlic and leave it at low temperature to warm up well. Add salt, pepper and oregano and mix well.

After the grain is warm, leave it on the side and use another pan. Pour olive oil and when it’s warm enough pour breadcrumbs and mix constantly until it get thick.  After all is done, the grain can be served in a bowl covered with fried breadcrumbs.
