Vegan Mac And Cheese

Since vegans don’t eat cheese, this vegan mac and cheese meal doesn’t contain it at all, but the combination of ingredients we use in this recipe allow us to prepare a vegan alternative which tastes very similar.

Vegan Mac and Cheese


  • 4 dl of sunflower seeds
  • 5 tablespoons sesame
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • ¼ of onion
  • teaspoon of salt
  • juice of 2 small lemons
  • 4-5 dl of water
  • 1 onion
  • spices: rosemary, marjoram
  • olive oil
  • 400 g of macaroni


Firstly, grind sesame seeds in a blender. Clean the blender and then grind sunflower seeds along with the other ingredients (garlic, ¼ of onion, salt, juice of lemons) , adding water little by little. After this sauce is ready, chop the onion and fry it in olive oil. Now add spices and the sauce you prepared before and fry for some more till the mass get thick. In a pan cook the macaroni and when it’s ready, add the sauce and mix all well. Now you’ll need a copper pan – grease it well with olive oil and and then put macaroni with sauce in it. Bake at 180°C for half an hour and you’ll get a delicious vegan mac and cheese meal.
